Guidelines for Student

MILLIA CONVENT ENGLISH SCHOOL lays great stress on the development of character and conduct among the students and expects them to be worthy of the highest standards of behaviour, individually and collectively on our national life. Courtesy, kindness, helpfulness are particularly advised to be cultivated. The following general rules should be observed strictly.

  • Children are strictly forbidden to go out of the school premises during school hours without permission of the principal.
  • Parent and Guardians are not allowed to see their wards or to visit teachers or to enter school verandah during school hours.
  • Those who come on bicycle should keep it at the cycle stand properly locked.
  • Once a student attends the school he/she will not be allowed to any short leave. In case of emergency, the child could be escorted home by the parents, with the written permission of the principal.
  • No student shall absent himself/herself, without prior sanction of leave from the school.
  • The date of birth of a pupil as recorded in the admission register cannot be changed.
  • All students should co-operate with the school captain in maintaining the overall discipline of the school.
  • All equipment and material were given to the students for their practical work should be handled with due care. Damages & breakages should be paid for.
  • The parent/guardians will not hold the school indemnified against any accident for any other reasonable cause.
  • Every pupil is required to attend school-curricular and co-curricular activities in the prescribed uniform.
  • Parents/Guardians or visitors are not allowed to interview pupils or teachers during school hours the written permission of the Principle. Hence Parents/ Guardians are advised to meet teacher only by prior appointment
  • It is the duty of pupil to see that the school premises is kept clean and tidy. They are expected to take care of school property.
  • Collection of money for any purpose, requires the Principal's sanction
  • A pupil may be sent home during school hours for violating any of the school rule.
  • Malpractice of any kind in the examination will warrant to severe punishment, such as the cancellation of the examination, detention of the results or even, rustication from the school.
  • The Principle reserve the right to the student from the school whose conduct in his/her opinion is against good moral tone of the school. The Principle is the sole judge regarding the dismissal of a student.
  • A progress report will be issued to student after every terminal examination which should be returned dully signed by the parent/guardian within 3 days from its receipt.
  • A student will not be permitted to appear in the Formative , Summative, Pre-Board or Annual Exam if his/her attendance is less than 75% before the particular examination.
  • Pupil whose fees are in arrears will not be permitted to appear in the examination.
  • Parents are requested not to approach school teachers for private tuitions.
  • A student who fail in the same class for two years in the succession would be rusticated from the school.
  • No parents or friends of student are allowed to walk in the school premises or visit classroom.
  • The school fees covers 12 calendar months. No reduction is made for absence or holiday in either school fee or conveyance.
  • Fees for the month of May and June must be paid in the 1st week of may . Fee of march is to be paid together with the fee of February.
  • No book, periodicals or newspaper of any objectionable nature shall be brought to the school.
  • No cell phones, camera, walkman, transistor radios, watches and other similar items shall be brought to school. Sharp objects, cracker or other harmful material shall also not be brought to the school.
  • Pupils are responsible for the self custody of their books and belongings. Each article should be marked with the pupil's name.
  • Any loss or damage inflicted to the school property must be duly compensated by the one concerned.
  • Apart from the rule above, the Principle has the right to make change for the well-functioning of the school.
